CWEA-Monterey Bay Section was established in 1953 as the Ancient and Honorable Order of the Sewer Rats. The Sewer Rats evolved into The Monterey Bay Section, a local section of the California Water Environment Association. The Section  covers a regional area  encompassing Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito Counties and a portion of Santa Clara County south of Coyote.

MBS UPDATES

The web site is currently undergoing a few major changes. We are adding calenders for events and training,  building databases to manage information, all with the hopes of speeding up and enhancing our website. Look for an annual listing of events and training in the near future.  The MBS Board of Directors met on July 14th and kicked around a few more ideas for this year.  We are looking at updated venues for training, occasional weekend fun events and  tours.  Do you have any ideas for training or events?  Send them to a board member via e-mail under contacts, or better yet, present your ideas at the next dinner meeting.

CWEA's Annual Conference 2011 "One Water One World" will be held in sunny Ontario, CA. The call for papers has been issued and the electronic abstract submittal system is active.  For more information or to submit an abstract please navigate to www.cwea.org/conferences
